The MGH Stroke Service Unit is composed of full-time Neurologists with special expertise in cerebrovascular disease. The unit is complemented by a diverse fellowship training program and superb administrative support staff.
The Stroke Service Unit, and its four subgroups, specializes on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, carotid and intracerebral atherosclerosis, venous sinus thrombosis, hereditary coagulation disorders, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral edema, traumatic brain injury. Basic and clinical research in neuroimaging, neurorecovery and neuroprotection are combined to provide exceptional patient care.
